The quality of a finished product is determined by the quality of the product when it is received. Grease burn, freezer burn, flesh and fat left on skin and old neglected hides will not come out of the system in the PREMIUM CONDITION due to the lack of rehydration which affects the process from shaving all the way down to staking and tumbling.
