Preparing your hides for High Desert Tannery.

Care and Handling of Skins:

As a customer of High Desert Tannery, you will be assigned a CUSTOMER ORDER NUMBER. This number will be used to provide positive identification of your skins to insure proper handling and shipping. Your number will pe punched by High Desert Tannery in the lower right side of each skin upon receipt. Do not use this area for any other purpose.

All of us know that proper initial handling of skins and furs will help you determine the quality of the end product. It is imperative that ALL excess fat and flesh be removed from the appropriate places on the skin. All tags, with no exceptions, will be removed in order to shave the hide. Failure to do this will potentially result in a damaged skin. Remember, the more complete you prepare your shippment, the more money you will save in turn around time and quality of skin.
